I tried lots of diets and followed various free workouts that I found online.  I would lose weight but I always felt like I was depriving myself and my workouts felt more like a punishment than an accomplishment.  Unfortunately, I would always gain the weight back because I couldn't maintain the diets and I didn't know enough about exercise to keep my results moving forward. 

That year, I was fortunate to meet a coach who helped spark a passion for health.  I spent the next year losing 80 lbs and getting certified as a personal trainer.
